Collection of Flags
Hello,
Here is a picture of my prayer flag. I love this
idea. This is the first prayer flag I have made, but it won't be my
last. Good wishes are on the wind today.

with a group trade with that
started out ATC's
and also features arty side trades.
it is these side trades
that often catch my fancy.
Here is my latest offering to the

Barb E Rickard has made a collection of flags to hang in her garden.
"I've just made a
baker's dozen of prayer flags that are now hanging in my garden. The
photos are posted on my blog along with a little story as to why I've decided

A Collection
Today we hear from Susi
Costello.
"I made my prayer flag as part of Carly Marie's healing project to
help break the silence surrounding child death. My flag has embroidered panels
for love, light, and truth as well as one with my daughter Tigerlily's name and
the day she was born/died. It was both incredibly difficult and wonderfully
purposeful to make these in honor of my daughter."

Day of Hope
"We lost our son Dylan during
the third trimester, due to complications from HELLP Syndrome, a pregnancy
specific condition. A beloved son, brother, and grandson; he is our
little blue dragonfly. A reminder of how quick everything can turn, the
fragility of life. My hope for my family is to focus on strength, love
and joy.
This is a prayer flag I made for the event: August 19th - Day of Hope is a day that is held internationally each year since 2008. It was created to help break the silence surrounding the death of babies and children. Part of this very special day is The August 19th - Day of Hope Prayer Flag Project which is a profoundly moving, poignant and peaceful way to break the silence surrounding the death of babies and children."

For John
Today we hear from Maryly Matthewman
" This is our Prayer Flag Protect. We renamed it Wish Flag Project for John Bradley Thompson but the ideas are still the same.
John Bradley is a little boy currently at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis receiving radiation and chemotherapy for a very rare brain tumor, DIPG. We had our kick off day today with the Wish Flags and we gave out 85 flags and people were very generous in their donations. Many more flag kits are coming. Here are some of the flags.
John is in Memphis with his net at the ready to catch all the wishes."

Collection from Chigaco.
"Your site really inspired us! Our church, St. John's Episcopal in Chicago, created a series of Prayer Flags and Wish Trees. We were celebrating Rogation Sunday by blessing the soil, the seeds and our new beehives. Our inter-generational project was to write our wishes, prayers and dreams along with pictures or symbols, onto the Prayer Flags and the strips of fabric for the Wish Trees. They will hang in the church's garden all summer."
Thank you Karen
