300 flags 300 blessings


Today I created and hung my 300th prayer flag  ... one prayer flag a day.

300 blessings ...
joining with hundreds and thousands of blessings carried on the breath of LOVE.

300 opportunities ...
to create
to pause
to reflect
to meditate
to stitch
to connect with another
to reduce
to consider the essence
to drink of the fountain of the wisdom of poets, writers, musicians, artists
to belong
to console

300 days where I knew I was...
loved
human
co-creative

May these 300 blessings join with all gestures of goodwill ...
invigorating and enlivening and inspiring and blessing our world.

PRAYER FLAGS FOR NEWTOWN, CT


Annie Wade here. After seeing Diana Trout's call on Facebook to make Prayer Flags for Newtown...I made the flags shown on this post...and blogged about it here.


Diana has since teamed up with Leighanna Light who also has a facebook page...The Hope Flag Project.



You can send flags which will be delivered to Sandy Hook...or hang them in your own back yard.


This is such a worthy project.

Prayer Flag posting

Hello dear prayer flag makers around the world! 

Thank you so much for participating and making flags for yourself, others and the world. Many of you are posting beautiful and meaningful flags on our prayer flag project flickr group ~ thank you. 

As administrator of this blog, I need some help or a new way to get your flags onto this blog. The flickr group is full of flags that never make it to this blog. The system that does work is when you email me (theprayerflagproject@gmail.com) and send me a jpeg and description and your blog address (if you have one) and then I post the flags on this blog.

There are options. If you are a regular blogger, and know how to use blogger, you can become a co-administrator of this blog and post directly. (Just email me for permission)

Another option is for me to post directly from your posts on the flickr group. That means I often won't have the information behind the flag, or your real name, or link to your blog (if you have one). 

So, I need some help, some suggestions! 
Please, let me know your thoughts. I want this blog to continue, and I need some help.

"My prayer specially goes out to an elderly lady known to my family who has been missing for last couple of months. May she hear our prayers and find her way home soon.

l hand stitched this flag by using some naturally dyed fabric at home. I have appliqued couple leaves of the 'peepal/bo tree' which is scared to Buddhists."
