Thank You

What a lovely response from a generous crowd! Several prayer flag project participants stepped up and volunteered to help with the administration of the blog. I'm happy to report that Lisa Chin, art quilter, surface designer, and all around team player will be the new blog administrator.
Lisa is an avid maker of many things, most notably for this blog, of prayer flags. Just look at the strings of flags she's made using Sun Shibori, and stenciling. I can't wait to see where Lisa's leadership will take the group. Please join me in welcoming Lisa as she embarks on this new creative adventure!

Winds of Change

The Prayer Flag Project blog is undergoing some changes. After several years in her role as moderator, Deborah O'Hare has decided to step aside and has asked for someone else to take the lead. I can't thank Deborah enough for her commitment to keeping this blog going. Deborah's presence will be sorely missed. It is a labor of love and, as we all know, love, peace, and hope are what this blog is all about.

For the time being, I will be moderating the blog. However, with such a busy schedule, I'm afraid I don't have the time to post more than once a week. My hope is that someone out there who cares about continuing the Prayer Flag Project will be moved to take the helm.

I am looking for a volunteer to continue the project. The time commitment is about an hour a week, probably a bit more in the beginning as you learn the platform, but blogging is easy and fun.

A few other changes: the new email address for sending images of your flags for us to post is:
prayerflagproject@gmail.com.

All emails/requests/posts will be made or scheduled on the weekend.

Thank you to all of the artists around the globe who have kept this blog alive with images of their beautiful flags. I have always believed that we can change the world, one flag at a time.

Best to you,
Vivika

Spreading the Fun

Linda here... I wanted to share some photos with you from recent prayer flag workshops that I have led.  It is good the share the process with others as they delve into the (often) new territory of creating flags.  Fun was had by all!

I will share more flags with you after the upcoming July workshop, too.
